Sculptural lounge chair, fully upholstered in contrasting blue fabrics. Very good condition. Recently reupholstered and brass lightly cleaned, although retaining its patina. This example is particularly desirable with its long brass legs and exaggerated form.

Enameled steel and fabric, rubber. A rare pair of original Elettra lounge chairs by Studio BBPR (Gianluigi Banfi (1910-1945), Lodovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso (1909-2004), Enrico Peressutti (1908-1976), and Ernesto Nathan Rogers (1909-1969). The '‘Elettra'‘ lounge chair won the Gold Medal prize for design, at the Compasso d'Oro, at the 1954 Triennale exhibition in Milan. Very good condition. Metal appears to have been repainted at some point. Upholstery has recently been updated and original Arflex label affixed to each chair.
