Wood, fabric, brass. Rare variant of the popular 802 chair. Made in Italy for the American market. & retailed through M. Singer & Sons. Sculptural lounge chair, fully upholstered in contrasting blue fabrics. Very good condition. Recently reupholstered and brass lightly cleaned, although retaining its patina. This example is particularly desirable with its long brass legs and exaggerated form.

Rare Pair of Elettra Lounge Chairs by Studio BBPR for Arflex

Enameled steel and fabric, rubber. A rare pair of original Elettra lounge chairs by Studio BBPR (Gianluigi Banfi (1910-1945), Lodovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso (1909-2004), Enrico Peressutti (1908-1976), and Ernesto Nathan Rogers (1909-1969). The '‘Elettra'‘ lounge chair won the Gold Medal prize for design, at the Compasso d'Oro, at the 1954 Triennale exhibition in Milan. Very good condition. Metal appears to have been repainted at some point. Upholstery has recently been updated and original Arflex label affixed to each chair.

Rare Pair of Armchairs by Gino Levi-Montalcini

Upholstery, beech, enameled steel. Extravagant design of generous proportions and superb detailing. Levi-Montalcini was known to have only created furniture for a handful of his projects. Never mass produced and always custom made. Recently reupholstered. The legs have been cleaned but show slight signs of wear.
